Natural Gas
ESI pioneered the concept of supplying natural gas via a little known process, called Transportation Gas, to commercial real estate in Western PA. This process allows owners and managers to purchase natural gas from a deregulated source rather than from the local utility. The Utility, by law, must transport the natural gas through its lines to the customer’s facility for a fee. The utility continues to read the meter, however, it only invoices the customer for the delivery of the natural gas. A second invoice from the supplier covers the contracted cost of natural gas. This process eliminates many constraints and takes advantage of the abundance of locally produced natural gas, including Marcellus Shale gas. We pair our customers with local well owners and producers to provide a secure and uninterruptable supply of Natural Gas, while ultimately saving you money.
Electric Power
Rate caps throughout PA have expired and under deregulation’s guidelines, electric utilities adjust their rates throughout the year to reflect their actual cost of electricity. Take matters into your own hands and don’t let the utility shop for you. ESI will match you with a supplier that fits your specific needs to help provide you with the highest level of savings and budget certainty Renewable/Green With environmental concerns in everyone’s mind ESI can also offer sources for Renewable Energy Credits. Renewable Energy Credits are provided by suppliers who commit to producing Green Energy on your behalf. REC’s are typically offered in Tiers as a guarantee that the given percentage of your generation will be green.
Demand Response
Demand Response is a Green Energy Program managed by PJM, the electrical Grid operator. The program is designed to reduce energy usage through customers agreeing to ‘shed’ load to avoid brown-outs and to protect the integrity of the power grid. This allows others to safely draw power when the Grid is stressed. Your participation in the program generates income by providing you with quarterly cash payments. Eligible commercial Customers can participate in this program by agreeing to reduce electricity usage either during an emergency event or when Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs) are high on the PJM system. ESI can design a demand response program for your facility.
